New Jersey has kept up to date with the world; joined in all the trends and fads of the decade, one of them being health insurance. Almost everyone has heard of Medicare and the great work they have been doing in our country Medicare plans in NJ have become more popular due to the coverage provided by Medicare NJ.

NJ Medicare offers the standard supplement plans. NJ has provided all the supplement plans at a better rate than most states. Horizon provides most of the Medicare supplement plans in NJ at a better rate. The website explains each plan in detail as well as what they cover and how much they charge for the cover. In each plan you will have co=payments otherwise known as co-insurance or excesses, these payments can sometimes be expensive and that is why Medicare NJ also offers plans C, F, G, K and N. these plans will be explained in further detail but in short help with excess payments.

In each state you will find different rates and different benefits. Medicare tends to keep the same guidelines across all states, yet some add more to entice people to take the insurance. NJ Medicare is no different but instead of adding extra benefits at extra cost they chose to reduce their rates instead.

NJ Medicare supplement plans carry the Medicare seal of approval and cater for the needs of its people by offering the highest quality insurance you can find in NJ. The plans only cover people aged 65 and older or any disabled person. This ensures that everyone in the country receives the same medical treatment.

Medicare supplement NJ is different because their rates are one of the lowest in the country. For example Jane is sixty six years old and on her way to see her grandchild she has a stroke and is in an accident. The hospital needs three pints of blood for a transfusion and she is charged for ten days in hospital. The stroke requires her to go for speech therapy once a month. Had she taken just plan A she would have had to pay one thousand one hundred and eighty four dollars towards her hospital bills while Medicare covered the rest as well as three pints of blood. Her speech therapy would have cost one hundred and forty seven dollars plus twenty dollars for each visit. Plan A would only pay for eighty percent of the cost.

If Jane had taken plan F she would have only her monthly premium to worry about. Each plan has a set list of payments and services rendered. Medicare supplement NJ provided by Horizon has helped Jane receive the care she needs without making her stress about money. Now she can continue to heal in her own time. NJ has assisted all the people in their care by explaining each plan in detail and allowing them to make their own choice.

Plan A consists of two parts. Part A and part B. Part A covers you for hospitalization where part B covers you for surgical related expenses. It also covers you for certain outpatient services and all is explained in your medical insurance contract.

Plan C, F, G, K and N all cover certain percentages of the co-payments for plan A and B. Some pay higher percentages and some lower. Each plan has plan A and plan B with added benefits such as travel insurance.

Travel insurance ensure that your medical expenses are paid for any accidents abroad. Each plan has a certain limit and most do not require co-payments. Plan A is a given and cannot be taken away, the other plans all hold plan A within them to ensure maximum coverage.

Plan F has the lowest rates and covers plan A’s excess charges. You would pay more by having plan A alone then adding an additional plan. The last few plans were created to eliminate the constant cost for the insured. Plan D is a drug supplement plan that pays for medication.

The plan groups medication in prices and has certain amounts to be paid for each group. Generic medication is lower than the name brand medication as it is in a lower price group. Neither of the other plans cover you for medication. This is an additional plan that assists the insured to receive their medication.

Example: Group one costs ten dollars excess and holds painkillers. The price range is zero to fifty dollars. Jane has been prescribed painkillers for her injuries, Jane did not take plan D and the painkillers cost fifty five dollars for twenty. If Jane had taken plan D she would have only paid ten dollars for her medication, instead of fifty five.

As we age we need to accept that our minds and bodies will eventually fail us. The importance of good medical insurance will cover us in the event of such tragedies. The expense can be great but in New Jersey rates have reached an all-time low. The state has decided to help our senior citizens and disabled youth in their quest for inexpensive health care. Not too many people realise the need for affordable health care until they need it themselves. Unfortunately senior citizens and disable youth cannot bear the expense of hospitals and specialists on their own and neither can their families.

This is why Medicare and the state of New Jersey helped the people achieve a rate they can afford. The monthly premium can be paid by anyone and has more benefits than any other insurance offered in New Jersey. They see the need and do not class senior citizens as high risk people but rather as the important people they are to us. Everyone is someone’s daughter or son, mother or father and that is why it is so important for us to look after each and every individual in our country. We can only hope that we are treated the same one day by our own sons and daughters
